Had a great meal here.
The bad: When I first entered with my reservation for 19:00, they had already crossed my name off the list. They made a whole big deal about it. I showed them my name on their list of names, and my ID with the same name. I showed them my reservation confirmation. They called a bunch of employees over to ask me the same questions. It felt like an interrogation. The line was held up because of this for minutes and I felt very embarrassed because of this. They almost didn't want to let me in because they had accidentally crossed my name off the list before arriving. Also keep in mind, my reservation was at 19:00, when they opened. I was waiting in line before the restaurant even opened, I was maybe 10th in line.
Thankfully they did let me in.
The good: Great selection of food. I enjoyed my meal very much, and the quality was great. I thought the buffet would be very expensive given the great quality, but was pleasantly surprised when I paid a very reasonable price for mine and my wife's meal.
I will be back next time I'm in Metz, and hopefully do not have the same issue getting in as last time. Great location nearby too,...

My experience at Dragon Fly Amnéville was unfortunately disappointing. The food left much to be desired, with low-quality dishes and a particularly tasteless soup. Although the restaurant offers a wide variety of options, the selection was bland and not always available. The meat was of poor quality and tasted accordingly.
The staff was also a letdown. They were neither particularly friendly nor patient. When I inquired about the new robot and how it works, the server either couldn’t or wouldn’t provide any information, leaving me with no answers.

Read more1 étoile parce qu’on ne peut pas en mettre zéro… Arrivé a 21h30, le buffet était aussi désert que le Sahara. Pas de nourriture chaude (les serveurs ont commencé à charger à notre arrivé mais cela n’était pas suffisant, et n’ont pas du tout rempli ce qu’il fallait). Le buffet froid était complètement vide, de plus les desserts venaient de chez Picard, autant vous dire qu’il n’y a pas besoin de payer 20€ le buffet pour se faire plaisir au rayon surgelé de votre magasin préféré.
De plus, l’ambiance était pesante, pire qu’un enterrement en hiver. La température étant très basse, ma conjointe avait la chaire de poule. Pas une seule musique, ni le bruit des gens qui discutent. Une église serait largement plus festive que ce coupe gorge.
EN OUTRE, mal de ventre en sortant du restaurant, l’huile de la friteuse était elle aussi noire que leurs abysses ? Nous y avons perdu, du temps, de l’argent, ainsi que nos intestins. Pour être positif sur le repas, le Picon que le serveur m’a servi était bien dosé, seule point positif de ce merveilleux repas. Je préfère me couper les veines au couteau à beurre rouillé que d’y retourner.
Bref, très déçu de ce restaurant, les employés à la caisse ne nous ont même pas demandé si le repas c’était bien passé (anticipation relative ?) !
