Les Raoudis — Restaurant in Metz

Ich habe am 05. Juni abends mit meiner Frau im Restaurant (Tisch 2025) Les Raoudis, 51 Place de Chambre in Metz gegessen. Es war einfach nur schrecklich. Zunächst bekam ich anstelle meines bestellten Burgers ein Tatar. Ich mag aber kein rohes Fleisch. Dann wurde der Burger gebracht. Er war im unteren Teil so verbrannt, dass es nach Holzkohle schmeckte, einfach ungenießbar. Ich habe das beanstandet und bekam dann nach ca. 15 Minuten einen Burger, der nur oberflächlich angebräunt war und innen drin roh. Dies habe ich erneut beanstandet. Das Gericht wurde mitgenommen. Als ich dann bezahlen wollte wurde mir der Burger aber in Rechnung gestellt, obwohl ich gar keinen gegessen hatte. Als ich dies beanstandet habe – ich habe englisch gesprochen - wurde mir vom Chef an der Theke gesagt, dass ich bestellt habe und bezahlen müsse, außerdem solle ich mit ihm französisch sprechen, dass sei hier üblich. Ich habe mich schließlich gefügt. Es war demütigend und abstoßend.

J'ai mangé le 05 juin au soir avec ma femme au restaurant (table 2025) Les Raoudis, 51 Place de Chambre à Metz. C'était tout simplement horrible. Tout d'abord, au lieu du burger que j'avais commandé, j'ai eu droit à un tartare. Or, je n'aime pas la viande crue. Ensuite, on m'a apporté le burger. Il était tellement brûlé dans sa partie inférieure qu'il avait un goût de charbon de bois, tout simplement immangeable. J'ai fait une réclamation et, après environ 15 minutes, j'ai reçu un burger qui n'était que superficiellement doré et cru à l'intérieur. J'ai à nouveau fait une réclamation. Le plat a été emporté. Lorsque j'ai voulu payer, le burger m'a été facturé alors que je n'en avais pas mangé. Lorsque je me suis plaint de cela - je parlais anglais - le chef du comptoir m'a dit que j'avais commandé et que je devais payer, et que je devais lui parler en français, que c'était l'usage ici. J'ai fini par obtempérer. C'était humiliant...

This place was such a great find!

Everything we tried was homemade and so full of flavor. We absolutely loved the flammekueche, the quiche, and the cordon bleu with mushroom sauce which simply delicious.

The menu had so many typical Alsatian dishes, it was hard to decide what to try, but everything we had felt super authentic. On top of that, the Christmas decorations made it feel so cozy and festive, it really added to the whole experience.

Sadly our basic burger and chips and leek tart & chips were very poor. Chips basically inedible- floppy cool and definitely not what I expect from frites. In the age of the airfryer how can anyway screw up fries Burger was good, the galette in it was a weird option in a burger but he ho. Wife’s leek tart was floppy and obviously microwaved - shame for a regional special ! Wine was lovely and beer was good . Wine list was also decent if...
