We entered and someone said something about English speaking people. I spoke to them in French and they found this acceptable. My family, however, does not speak French. No menus were offered. The body language and eye rolling while I attempted to get my family to decide quickly was off putting. I had wanted a croque monsieur and this is the sort of fare offered here. Read moreAfter walking through the historic part of town, after being down at the river and along the city walls we needed a quick break. It was a sunny day and this place here, in the heart of town, had some nice spots to sit outside.
Had a coke, a water, a tarte tatin and two scoops of ice cream. The tarte came also with a scoop of ice cream. Very fair priced. The tarte obviously wasn't freshly made (who does in that short time) and nothing too exciting. But both the ice cream with the tarte and my scoops were all delicious. Very rich, creamy and flavourful.
With the nice tables outside to watch the world go by surely a good option for a quick break. At least for some drinks...

Kids love the gauffres (especially with Chantilly) and crepes. Easy for a family and the servers allow you to speak French (even if poorly), but the gentleman also speaks English.
