We had a small conflict with stuff because they include dish in check that i refused to eat (benny with salmon). The dish was really dry with lot of hollandaise sauce ( the taste of sauce was not fresh with an unpleasant aftertaste) i told to waiter that i'm not gonna eat benny and ordered pancakes (were good). The waiter told me that the chef of cafe did a dish well, and i'm the first person who is complaining and i'm not a king here in France, they have 20 years experience in hospitality, and i have to pay for a dish, otherwise he will call to police, because i'm refusing to pay. That how hospitality looks like in Coldrip. I was refusing to pay for Benny as i'm a client which is not satisfied with dish quality. Stuff start to boiling and raise voice at me and don't listen to me. As there were no decision i suggest to pay half, stuff agreeded with that. Also i left 5€ to tip's pot, but the girl took out a bill and threw it to me and said that she didn't need my money. The food by itself (except benny) was good but stuff was rude and...
Read moreNot-to-be-missed brunch spot. In absolutely gorgeous location We arrived mid-morning to a line of three or so parties ahead of us (not unexpected based on having read prior reviews). The owner does a fantastic job in managing the line - - handing out menus, estimating which tables will open up when, consulting those in line about their preference for inside or outside seating, etc. So the wait really was not a problem. When seated, we found extremely friendly and helpful service. Servers spoke English but were also very patient and helpful dealing with this guest's limited but well-intentioned French. Menu was brief but imaginative and had lots of fun choices (I was quite struck by the home-made peanut butter in my peanut butter latte) - - my salad with chunks of chicken (and a halloumi add-on I chose) was absolutely delicious. As we thanked him and said goodbye, the owner handed me a bag with a big delicious WARM cookie for the road - - so sweet. Our brunch here made us happy. What more can I say! Go there if you...
Read moreThis place has become very bad over time. I went there in 2019 for the first time and both the food and the service was so much better, they even had coffee with asian prints. The last weekend we went with my friend for brunch, they have changed the chairs into very uncomfortable ones so you dont stay long in the place and one of the waiters told us to leave faster because there were people queueing can you imagine?! Horrible, wont go back. The good reviews are because they really were good in the past, not anymore, felt like eating in McDonalds.
Response to the owner's comment:
There was no solution/excuse offered but only a thinking-out-loud opinion. As for next time, not McDonalds, but I would go to Joy Healthfood brunch for a better and more fulfilling...
