ikonka — Restaurant in Montpellier

The most delicious Patisserie, we went there while visiting Montpellier recommended by a local restaurant staff as the best croissant in town. At Ikonka we found it very friendly to foreigners, excellent capuccino, their croissants are legendary in a city that has already a high level of pastries. Sympathetic staff, superb service, fantastic terrace to enjoy your breakfast as a special experience. Staff friendly also with pets. There was a line of people waiting for a takeaway while others were sitting in their terrace and enjoying their breakfast. Seems famous among tourists as well as with locals. I was heavily recommended to try their pain au chocolat and was told that it was the best in town. Now, their pastries are great but it is HEAVY. Do not expect to get your standard light airy pastries here, but expect something that is closer to a dessert that is incredibly rich and buttery. By far, this is the best boulangerie in Montpellier. Fantastic croissant, pain au chocolat and others. Coffe and capuccino were delicious. They made an amazing babyccino as well!
