Mas de Lafeuillade — Restaurant in Montpellier

We stayed for 1 night in Montpellier and craved to have stayed for more. The hotel is located outside the city and every penny spent really worth it. We arrived early and just found 1 inconvenience, everybody have to respect the check-in time. But all was solved thanks to the help of 2 of the waiter-receptionist( I don't know what their name is but my gratitude for both).|We actually stayed at the stunning terrace and have a bottle of wine to relax while we were waiting for our room.|The waiters are so friendly and very accommodating. What we heard is that they themselves manage the hotel as well since January 2017, that is the reason why there is no early check-in provided but we were allowed to keep the room until 23:30 next day which is so amazing.|It is a small family restaurant-hotel so don't expect a proper hotel check-in.|A waiter helped us with our luggages and led us to the room after the lunch service. The hotel is so chic and spacious. The rooms are huge, the amenities are all detailed like what you see in magazines of Chic & Antique. Our party of five adults arrived on a Sunday morning, but were able to leave luggage until all rooms were ready. We were shown the room that was ready and it seemed clean and comfortable.Upon our return, the check in process was rather haphazard and obviously the weekend housekeeping service was in charge. In our room there were plenty of washcloths and two big bath towels – and that was all. Getting in and out of the big tub was perilous. However on Monday both hand towels and a bathmat were provided.The lighting was "atmospheric" i.e.low, and it was impossible to read by the bedside lamp since one of the two small bulbs had been removed. ||Monday breakfast was delicious, although it arrived in the same haphazard manner with no explanation as to whether we were to be served or get things ourselves. One gets the idea that the restaurant which operates Tuesday through Saturday is the main focus of the establishment and the B&B very much of an afterthought. ||They offered no suggestions for dining options other than to wave in the direction of Montpellier which was about a 45 minute walk away.
