I booked a room last minute for dinner, bed and breakfast. Everything was fine with my stay. The hotel is a little dated, but from what I saw well maintained. The rooms were a reasonable size, with a good sized comfortable bed.
When I asked about dinner I was directed to the dining room. I asked the waiter what was included with my meal, it took several attempts to explain (my French is school boy French, but when booking I ensure to check the staff spoke English). It was gestured to just pick from the menu. So I did, not the most expensive, or anything daft.
My start was fine, basically hot cheese (as I ordered, can't go far wrong there).
My main, a small steak which was unseasoned and a bit tough. The sauce accompanying it was cold. Not the best meal I have ever had, but not bad enough to send back.
I was offered a dessert which I took, which was fine too.
Breakfast the next morning was quite possible one of the best selections I've seen in France.
At the end of breakfast I was thinking not bad value for money, not great, but not bad.
Then checkout, I'm hit with a 12.50 euro surcharge. What for I don't know, the desk staff were not very helpful.
I didn't have time to stand and argue, so paid and left.
I seriously question the staffs ability to speak English at a level you could describe as "speaking English".
I would say if you have no issues whilst staying, it is good as overnight hotel. But don't take inner meal deal.

Read moreSo I am leaving the hotel today, travelling with a friend!The hotel is situated a few tram stops from the beach and city (7 city 5 beach takes about 10 min both ways, tram 300yards).We have loved our stay, the staff have been so attentive and it is a well manned hotel, always happy to help and go above and beyond!The food in the hotel is well priced and really well, alot of locals eat here.We explored the beach, Montpellier and Sete (train) from here and it was very easy.Around the hotel is alot of shops and a supermarket just up the road for essentials!The pool is never too busy to get a spot and a bed!The pool is cleaned everyday and the rooms were spotless!This is such a good alternative to being in the busy city and the tram is very cheap and easy to use.Make sure you stamp your card on every ride 45euro fine if you don't.I think the staff are the best thing in this hotel as they are more than happy to help.A short drive from the airport and free shuttle available.I think most people stay a few nights and then move on which is probably all you need!Thank you to staff for an amazing week nice to be looked...
