In summary: the main courses were never served, we left habing barely eaten, but they offered the drinks and starters. In detail: we went there for dinner in a group of 5 people. We had a reservation for outside as they did not have room inside. Their food experience offer is interesting, the presentation of it even better. Waiters were under pressure, consequently slow at taking the orders and delivering, but very pleasent and good at explaining the dishes and the wines. We ordered drinks, starters and main courses at the same time. Drinks arrived quickly enough and were very good, the starters arrived one hour after being seated. It looked strange, but we were hoping things would move quicker then. The food was good, maybe not as surprising as expected. We kept ordering wine and asking for bread while waiting. Two hours after being seated, due to the waiting and the cold and after having asked how the food was going a number of times, we decided to ask the waiters one more time what was happening with the food, telling them that we were not up for waiting any longer. They checked with the kitchen and came back saying that they were sorry and would offer us everything we ate/drank. While we do not know if there was no more food available at all, we left happy for the wine, but very deceived with the restaurant. While we appreciated the effort of offering everything, the main purpose of a food experience was not really served: eating. Hence the two stars out of five. Hope I will have a further chance to visit this place and...
Read moreJust fabulous. An interesting and beautifully crafted menu. Full of different flavours, innovative recipes and a feast for eyes and palate. There is a well chosen wine list and the team understand how to match wine with food. Take the teams advice, they know their menu and their wine list. We asked for a local wine and the pairing offered was a delight. We will go back more than once again on this visit to the region. Not overpriced, a terrifc ambience and full of locals (a testament in itself).
The chef was hidden from view but present in fine style on every plate.
Local produce, local patrons and a fine advert for this beautiful part...
Read moreWOW! What a dining experience. Four of us went there for a marvelous al fresco lunch on a perfect autumn day.
The lunch offerings are posted on the menu board — tapas plates to share. We ordered 4 dishes, white wine (recommended by Thomas), & homemade tiramisu (thanks to Julie)—très bien. The food, taste, & presentation were all perfect.
Four-six persons would offer an opportunity to try several dishes. The servings appear to be portioned for 4 but they may increase for additional cost.
Reservations strongly recommended. Several others stopped by to see if they could get a table ad hoc & were unsuccessful. Outside seating for...
