Le Piege is an amazing (but slightly hidden) craft beer bar just a few steps away from the Place Aux Herbes. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming — even for an American with very little French language ability. They are very knowledgeable about beer and can make good recommendations from their terrific selection of French and other European craft beers on tap and in bottles. While the beer is amazing, my wife and I love the food. The dishes appear straightforward (e.g., a burrata salad or charcuterie plate), but they are truly special — always with fresh, local ingredients and often including unique housemade elements (e.g., confiture of strawberries and rum) . Oasis in paradise. We met the owners on a beer event in Belgium years ago, and they told us about their place and Uzés. We are glad we managed to see both ourselves. Que vous aimiez les bières artisanales, pression, classiques ou d'exception et même sans alcool, vous trouverez forcément votre bonheur dans cet endroit charmant et cosy. Pour notre part, nous avons testé une bière blanche pression, une bière sans alcool et un kombutcha fraise. Parfaits ! Profitez-en pour déguster les délicieux mets préparés avec amour par Stéphanie. Quel que soit votre choix, tout est onctueux et original : poulet à la bière , terrine de taureau, Saint Marcellin rôti au miel de lavande, rillettes de poulet, aubergines et pommes de terres confites .... Un vrai régal pour les papilles. Le lieu est très agréable, calme et apaisant avec ses pierres apparentes et son plafond voûté. On se sent comme chez soi.
