Mercadante — Restaurant in Nîmes

We read the good reviews and went to try it. All the good reviews were exactly as it was presented!! Great chef who is the owner running the business and great service friendly and welcoming. We stayed 2 nights in Nimes and the 2nd night we choose again to go and have dinner there. Also recommended to some of our friends and they enjoyed it too. Great pasta, Great meat, Great wine and Great desserts. Also very nice Italian music in the background. Definitely recommend anyone go there and have dinner or launch. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The chef is outstanding. His creativity, his technique, his pallet, are all a cut above, we, mere mortals. Madame, runs the front of the house, and she is the, definition, of " charming professional". Knowledgeable, caring, and unobtrusive, she checks all the right boxes. I walked in here to go to the restaurant. I walked to the back to use the restroom first before sitting down for dinner and three people basically were incredibly rude to me for trying to use the toilet, I am sure they have many people using their restrooms with their location. They could have waited to see if I was going to be seated before being so rude to me. I will not go back.
