Le Centaurée — Restaurant in Narbonne

The right place for good dinner !

I have been in Narbonne for only 1 day, just because it is near the highway to Spain.

That's said, let's talk about food.

But first, location! Le Centaurée has tables both outside and inside, but the first solution offer the beauty of the small town while eating. If you can, choose it. Outside tables are very high, made of wood, they remind me more the atmosphere of a village festival rather than an actual restaurant but this is style dude.

Now what really matter, food. I've ordered a classic hamburger that was very tasty, and well done (you can choose either raw or well done). Chips and salad completed the plate. Just a tip, remember that in France they used to season salad with a cream of mustard, which has a strong taste and it is a bit acid.

Finally, the price was in average. Around 12€ for a complete hamburger. Water? Free if you order "eau en caraffe": i...

My worst restaurant experience in my 16 years in France. Our food arrived 1hbafter ordering, we had been assured that it was on the way but only came once we offered to leave and pay for our drinks.

Once the food did eventually come I found a receipt in my plate underneath my food, so I discovered it half way through my meal. After raising the issue the waiter huffed and picked it out with his fingers, he then left. I wasn't offered anything else, and still had to pay for it.

Overall the staff were overwhelmed. And the service horrible, and the food safety...

La experiencia fue horrible. Creo que el peor servicio que nunca he tenido en un bar. Aquí dejo algunos sucesos que nos pasaron (éramos un grupo de 4). Poca higiene. El baño súper sucio (encharcado y con compresas tiradas), la caja de cubiertos sucia y con sobres de salsas usadas, vasos sucios y con agua de lavavajillas o de haberlos "lavado", la silla llena de migas de pan... Tardanza. Tardaron 30 minutos en tomarnos nota y 1 hora más en traernos la comida. Despistados. En esos 30 minutos que no nos habían tomado nota, nos trajeron 2 veces bebidas y 1 vez comida que no era nuestra porque ni habíamos pedido. Comida nefasta. Las hamburguesas eran decentes, pero el entrecot no sabía a nada, asqueroso. Las patatas requemadas por fuera y poco hechas por dentro. No saben cocinar. Por ejemplo con las patatas que he comentado. O que nos dijeron que el entrecot no nos lo iban a hacer muy hecho porque si no se quedaba pequeño, es tan fácil como hacerlo a fuego medio o lento y así no se quema y se hace bastante por dentro. Poca profesionalidad. Unos chicos del lado pidieron ketchup y cogieron los sobres de las personas de la mesa de al lado y se los dieron a ellos. Carencia de amabilidad. A parte de cómo nos habló de mal al explicarnos lo del entrecot que he comentado, a una de las personas le dijo que por qué pedía el entrecot muy hecho y la hamburguesa no, que unas cosas sí y otras no. Y a ella qué le importa. Y luego nos hicieron comentarios súper despreciables por ser españoles, como que les molestábamos, ya que desde el miércoles 6 hasta ese día (domingo 10) no parábamos de ir. PÉSIMO...
