Acqua & Farina — Restaurant in Nice

This place was sadly a huge disappointment… I ordered stuffed ravioli in walnut sauce..it felt the raviolis were store bought frozen just added to some warm milk.. no flavor, no salt! The other dish was pizza with anchovies & the pizza had all the salt in the world.. there was no other flavor apart from salt… at the end of the meal when I was asked how the meal was, I started to share my concerns but the person serving was least interested & said well it’s like that only! I will not suggest this place to anybody especially coz Nice has such fantastic restaurants! I do not know why would someone go here! One star for the cocktail, which was good!

Since the restaurant has responded & there is no way to add another comment.. I will clarify few things here! I am very well aware of Italian and French cuisine as we live in Europe! To assume someone will not understand Italian flavors coz of their heritage is outright arrogant, ignorant and racist! We did not send back the food coz it had no fault in terms of foreign particles etc. it was about the taste! We have done quite a bit of research & we have been traveling for two weeks now, all the restaurants have pleased us very very much!! We have been eating the local cuisine & enjoying it a lot! This restaurant, the food lacked flavor… or else there was one baritone flavor.. salt! We had a truly pleasant dining experience. Making a reservation was smooth, the staff welcomed us warmly upon arrival, and the seating felt both comfortable and well-spaced. The restaurant maintained an excellent level of cleanliness, and the atmosphere — lighting, décor, and overall vibe — matched its culinary style beautifully.

Service was polite and attentive throughout, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate our request to adjust the spiciness of a dish for our eight-year-old daughter, which we appreciated. Dishes arrived promptly, well-presented, and at the right temperature. The flavors were balanced and fresh, and portion sizes felt fair for the menu description.

The only area for improvement would be the beverage selection — the beer choices were quite limited and there weren’t many non-alcoholic options for children. However, the drinks we ordered were well-made and the table service was consistent throughout the meal.

Considering the quality of food, service, and atmosphere, the pricing was very reasonable. There were no hidden charges, and the overall experience was worth every cent.

In summary, this restaurant met expectations with a strong showing in every key area. We would gladly recommend it to others and would happily return in the future.

I do not recommend, the service is terrible. In the middle of an almost empty restaurant, (in the middle of the establishment) we were not allowed to sit down at a free table, which we liked. Because there were four chairs, not two. We were seated at a table near which there were three people (they were constantly running in one direction and the other, it looked like restaurant workers). they kept passing by and touching us with their bodies. We asked to be moved to another table, in a comfortable place, there were four chairs. we were not allowed and were told that they could sit at a table for two people, opposite the bar counter, where again the staff was running and delivering food. We said that we are for half an hour, we will eat quickly and move on. But we have to sit in a comfortable place for us. We were refused. And we left this place.
