Cave Rivoli — Restaurant in Nice

I found a pearl in beautiful Nice! It is often difficult to find a place which "has it all" for those like me looking at finding a good selection of wines, good prices and a warm and professional service! The Cave Rivoli is very well located only a few steps away from the beautiful Promenade des Anglais and the world famous Negresco! Celine the manager welcomed my wife and I with a sunny smile and warm attitude! As we just entered the shop, she invited us to join another group of clients to test a rose from à small wineyard she had discovered only a few days ago. We really had such a lovely time and ended up buying a few boxes.

Some might think that the shop is fairly small but the selection of wines and prices is actually very wide and will suite every budget. Celine always aim at providing the best advise and happily organized for some bottles that we bought to be shipped to our friends in Paris!

It has become a ritual for my wife and I to visit the Cave Rivoli and check their latest addition each time we have the chance to pass in Nice!

If you are in Nice and you are looking for somewhere to buy wine, I would definitely recommend you visit this place. It has a selection of high-quality wines at a variety of price points. The owners are incredibly helpful, knowledgable and passionate. The owner I spoke to is a sommelier and whisky expert and gave so many good suggestions. We tried some of their wines whilst we were in Nice (there is a selection of chilled wines ready to go) and they were delicious. We also bought some for taking home and I can’t wait to try them.

It is a small, family-owned, local business with wines to buy and I believe it is also a wine bar.

My husband and I visited Cave Rivoli for a rainy day wine tasting, suggested by our hotel concierge at Le Negresco. Sabine and her assistant were wonderful, engaging and fun to spend a few hours with. We really enjoyed Sabine's personality, and she had a wealth of knowledge of various wine regions.
