Charlie's & Co — Restaurant in Nice

Traitement très inhumain de la part du personnel. Very inhumane treatment from the staff. I am a 71 yo lady . Today I was passing by Charlie’s and because I am disabled and there were many unoccupied tables I decided to sit for a few minutes at an outside table. First a waitress came, who in the rudest way and even though the restaurant was empty, told me to leave. I decided to order a coffee so that I wouldn't be kicked out again, but another waitress appeared, who didn't even ask if I wanted to order anything and wanted me to leave again. When I said I wanted a coffee, she rudely told me that I had to go inside and pay immediately at the cash register. I agreed and paid her immediately but because I am on crutches, it was difficult for me to go to the cash register. Many times I have had to rest somewhere because of my disability, when I saw that there were many unoccupied tables, but this is the first time such rude treatment has happened to me. Today I saw the restaurant's response to my complaint and was once again convinced that the employees at this restaurant are heartless, conscienceless, and motherless! Very pathetic...

The cappuccinos are good and the atmosphere is highly desireable with outdoor seating under some plane trees on a tree-lined intersection away from the touristy old town. Catastrophique ! Fuyez ! Une expérience désastreuse du début à la fin. La serveuse, une jeune femme brune avec une tresse, était d'une froideur et d'une désagréabilité sans nom. On sentait qu'on la dérangeait. Ni bonjour, ni au revoir, et elle tourne volontairement la tête pour ne pas croiser votre regard quand vous sortez. Le menu ? Un véritable labyrinthe ! Un tableau noir illisible, des formules obscures avec des astérisques partout, et des suppléments cachés. Quand j'ai osé demander des éclaircissements, on m'a répondu avec un ton méprisant, comme si j'étais un enfant. Aucun sourire, aucun merci, rien. Juste de l'agacement. Et parlons de l'ambiance : des lycéens qui fument des cigarettes électroniques en toute impunité, sous le regard indifférent du personnel. Visiblement, la loi ne s'applique pas ici. La nourriture ? Soi-disant "fait maison", mais le bagel au poulet avait le goût du carton. Du surgelé réchauffé, sans aucun doute. Mon fils de 10 ans fait mieux ! Les prix sont exorbitants pour une telle qualité. J'aurais dû écouter mon instinct et partir dès le début. Ah, et j'oubliais : la musique électro assourdissante avec des basses qui vous font vibrer les tympans. Un supplice. Bref, un conseil : passez votre chemin. Cet endroit est à éviter...
