Cocooo Beach is yet another restaurant in Nice that has lived up to the high standards set by the local dining scene. Here's a detailed look at my experience:
Location: Nestled on the promenade, Cocooo Beach boasts a superb beachfront location. It’s a wonderful spot to enjoy a late sunset while dining, adding a picturesque backdrop to the meal. - ★★★★★
Menu Variety: Finding vegetarian options proved to be a challenge here. We eventually settled for pasta and grilled prawns (the exact name escapes me, as it was listed uniquely on the menu). The limited veg choices were a bit disappointing. - ★★★☆☆
Service: The service had its ups and downs. Initially, there was confusion about what dishes were vegetarian, which required clarification from the chef. Additionally, there was a mix-up with our order where a fish item was not removed from a salad as requested. These issues indicate a need for improvement in staff training and awareness. - ★★☆☆☆
Food Quality: Despite the service hiccups, the food itself was enjoyable. The pasta was well-prepared, and the grilled prawns were a hit. The overall quality of the meal was good, making up somewhat for the earlier service issues. - ★★★★☆
Overall Experience: The dining experience at Cocooo Beach, while marred slightly by service issues, was overall positive, largely due to the fantastic location and quality of the meal. It’s a great place to soak in the views and enjoy a meal, provided you’re not strictly vegetarian. - ★★★★☆
In conclusion, Cocooo Beach offers a memorable setting for dining in Nice with a generally good quality of food. However, the restaurant would benefit greatly from a broader selection of vegetarian dishes and better staff training to avoid service mishaps.
Special mention for the virgin pinaca Loda was good and came in a good looking coconut...
Read morewow where to begin. this has to be one of the worse value per dollar restaurants i’ve been to in a while. aside for the great location, there’s not much else going for it. I wish I could say maybe stop by for a drink by the beach but even the drinks were mid. so we found a worm in our burratta - which I get sometimes there’s lettuce worms but the dish was 21 euros so you’d expect someone to at least wash the lettuce. I wouldn’t have been upset except instead of actually apologizing off the bat- they tried to excuse it by saying sometimes it happens from bagged veggies and the chef promises to check other peoples lettuce from now on…then…they also charged us for the burratta anyway and when we said we don’t feel as if we should pay for it - it seemed to really upset management. for our main dish- truffle ravioli- the 27 euro ravioli was drowning in soup and extremely salty - like…each bite of these tiny raviolis were shoved with a gram of salt each type of salty. the final straw was my partner finding dried up lime/lemon pulp in his glass…while that really isn’t a big deal to us the whole experience was just deteriorating. overall it just wasn’t worth the pricing and I hate complaining but if they at least didn’t price their food so high I think i’d be less disappointed. I rarely write reviews but this was just so bad I don’t want any others wasting their time...
Read moreI want to share my horrible experience visiting this place. It was my first time — my friend and I arrived at 12:00 and paid €30 per person for seats in the front row. Within an hour, the sea completely washed away the entire first row, and they quickly removed it. Honestly, I doubt this is something that should happen — it really feels like some kind of scam…
We immediately moved to the third row and asked if they could either deduct €20 from our bill — since third-row seats cost €20 per person soo we overpayd €20 — or offer us some kind of compliment from them, given the situation. They politely refused and instead offered us seats in the “new” front row — which had just been the second row an hour earlier… Lol.
I really don’t appreciate this kind of customers service. I would have preferred to simply pay for where I actually ended up — in the third row. Instead, I feel cheated, and the whole situation really spoiled the atmosphere for me.
So Be careful with places like this (I’m pretty sure they know exactly what’s going on). Don’t book front-row seats before 2PM — they’ll just disappear, and you’ll be forced to move and lose your...
