Pasta Nini has a beautiful and trendy atmosphere, and it’s clear why this spot is so popular. The décor is stunning and feels perfect for Instagram photos, with every detail carefully curated for a modern, aesthetic vibe. Presentation of the food is also excellent — everything looks as good as you’d expect from a place this busy.
However, the actual dining experience left me underwhelmed and disappointed. The tables are extremely close together, to the point where it felt like I was essentially sharing a table with strangers. This might not bother some, but for me, it took away from the enjoyment of the meal and made it difficult for my tablemates to relax or have a private conversation.
As for the food, unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the visual appeal or the hype. I ordered the pistachio pasta, and to my surprise, there were no visible pistachios at all in the pasta (only a sprinkle in the burrata). The flavor was very bland, even with the sauce — so much so that I had to add a lot of olive oil and balsamic vinegar just to make it palatable. The burrata itself was fresh and creamy, which I really enjoyed, but the bread served alongside it was plain and uninspired.
While the prices are relatively low, you can taste why — the ingredients and execution just don’t have the depth or richness you’d expect from an Italian restaurant in Nice. It felt like the focus here is more on aesthetics and social media appeal rather than creating flavorful dishes.
Overall, Pasta Nini is worth the hype if you’re only there to take photos - especially if you’re looking for a trendy spot with great ambiance and presentation. But if you’re seeking a flavorful, authentic Italian meal, you may leave disappointed. It’s a place that looks great on Instagram — unfortunately, the food just doesn’t taste as good...
Read moreI took a chicken panini, with an "Authentic" green Mandarino drink of the brand Polaro, a pistacchio Tiramisu and a pistacchio cake. The panino was just okay, the tiramisu was good, you could feel the taste of real pistacchios, but the pistacchio cake was a dissapointment, as it had a taste of almond extract and the color was way too green to be natural. The drink had a score of 0 on Yuka as it contains 3 dangerous additives(Tartrazine E102, couleur bleu E133 et Sodium Benzoate E211) even though it is marketed as a traditional authentic drink, but apparently full of chemicals and color additives. The taste was good, though. I would still come to try the pistacchio pasta that seems good, but I will order other drinks, and i hope they will change the pistacchio cake recipe or provider. The place was quite nice and had a cool vibe and the staff there were very polite, nice and a pleasure to talk to.
Addition: I have tried the pistacchio pasta with buratta. It was very creamy, the waitesses were incredibly nice and attentive. The pasta in itself was good, but the pistacchio flavor was missing. If I ate it blindfolded I am not sure I would have guessed it was made with any...
