Cozy and intimate italian restaurant with delicious food. Is always a pleasure coming back at Origines thanks to Serena and Antonio, the Napoletan chef and owner of the place. The menu is new, since end of June and you have a variety of great choices (vegetarian, fish or meet) all cooked in an attentive way. I’ve had the dorada carpaccio with vinaigrette and yuzu as entre followed by the sea bass fillet with lemon cream and season steamed vegetables. A great combination that will fills your taste buds. One of my friends chose the pasta with sea urchins. If you love seafood, this dish is a must!! I’ve never tasted such a good pasta dish. As for desert, the “delizia limone” (specially from the Amalfi Coast) is so delicate and fresh, exactly what you need for the summer. The affogato is also a must to try! The chef has a special way of preparing it which surprised me. And of course, the tiramisu is not missing from the menu! If you want to escape from all the turistic place from the heart on Nice or just looking for tranquility while in Nice and good food experience, then Origine is your place! The waiter is nice and professional and Serena will great you always with a smile on her face. I will definitely...

During my recent trip to Nice, I had the pleasure of dining at this incredible restaurant, and I can honestly say it was one of the highlights of my stay. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere struck the perfect balance between elegant and welcoming. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, and the service throughout the evening was flawless.
But let’s talk about the food — absolutely phenomenal. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked: tender, flavorful, and seasoned with just the right blend of herbs. Each bite practically melted in my mouth. Equally impressive were the pastas, which tasted fresh, homemade, and thoughtfully prepared. You could tell the kitchen takes real pride in its craft — the sauces were rich and balanced, and the portions generous without being overwhelming.
Paired with a glass of local wine and a view of the charming streets of Nice, this was an unforgettable meal. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure this restaurant is on your list. I’ll definitely be coming back next time...
Read moreLovely restaurant ran by a wife (hostess) & husband (chef). The care they put into the place is obvious from the selection of the decor & the pride with which the hostess explained each of the dishes. Appreciated the fact that she was not snooty nor condescending. Also appreciated the inventiveness of the dishes - standouts were the beef & the lamb. Some of the dishes seemed a little similar after a while either because of the ingredients used or the way the dish was prepared. There is no outdoor seating but the large window made the dining area felt light & airy. Minor quibble & not the fault of the restaurant. There was a couple seated in the middle of the dining area who were on their first date & they were very loud. We were able to hear their whole Tinder journey from beginning to end. Thank goodness they left before our first dish arrived :-) The place can be very romantic but be mindful of the other diners and contribute to the overall atmosphere by having quieter...
