Le Bombay Palace — Restaurant in Nice

I feel so badly writing this review because the staff were very nice and I don’t normally complain. The food was just awful. My husband is a huge fan of Indian cuisine and said it was the worst indian food he ever tasted. There was no depth of flavor. There were no plates for the papadum so we ended up spilling on the table and the papadums came out of a box. They were not fresh. The saag paneer cheese was rubbery instead of soft and the spinach was whole instead of ground up. The Bombay potatoes were completely flavorless with too many vegetables. The shrimp with coconut sauce was bland and uninteresting. Even the rice was flavorless. We took leftovers home but ended up throwing them out on the way back to our apartment because we both agreed we would never eat them. I went today evening with my husband to this place looking at its reviews from trip advisor. I ordered 1 fish curry and 1 Bombay special. Bombay special was good to eat but the fish curry was extremely horrible. Taste nowhere near Indian food, fish was stale with pungent smell. Both of us went on to vomit our food right after we came home.

The ambience of the restaurant is less than mediocre. The toilet/WC/wash basin area was disgusting. Filled with smell. I seriously doubt the hygiene of this hotel. And I also question trip advisor for its award for excellence 2018 to this restaurant.

From my experience I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

When ur appetite had an urge to Indian food while you’re in Nice 😂👍🏽🥘 ،this guy used to work and prepare Indian cuisine food for prince Alwaleed bin talal for a period of time when the prince spend his holiday in Nice as his yacht barked in nearby area.
