Terrible, terrible service, I was stunned by how uncalled rude the people at this establishment are. After a few minutes of standing around being seriously ignored by the people at the service, when we were about to leave, one of them asked if we wanted a table, despite the bad start, the restaurant had good reviews, after a walk under the scorching sun and hungry we mistakenly decided to stay. Ironically, the French who love to complain about turists lack of manners, without any trace of cordiality or at least a “bonjour” we made our order. I asked for rosé wine, they brought a white wine, they probably believed we wouldn't note the difference, anyway, we decided to drink it, as it was very good and also to avoid further irritation. However, when my dish arrived incorrectly I had to ask for a change, apparently irritating both sides. After finishing our meal, the dishes were removed from our table and after about 10 minutes digesting, enjoying the view and waiting for a coffee or dessert menu to be offered, nothing happened, first I tried to speak to one of the service people and, once again ignored, just when she was already far away she said “Sorry madame”, we waited for another 5 minutes or so and nothing, so my husband decided to go to the cashier inside the restaurant as we saw other people doing and then the “freak show” began , trying to summarize here, he was ignored, with no surprise at this point and after them noticing a certain irritation on his part, the attendant who was close to the cashier started arguing with the attendants who served our table apparently to find out what our table number was, as we were sitting at tables outside, after much confusion, he left the cashier , the woman who had changed my plate took over and finalized the transaction, we paid and left, of course without a merci, pardon, thank you or something alike. About the food, to be honest, it was very good, but after the circus we were put through and paid for it I wouldn't go back here...

The food may be good but not good enough to make up for the service provided here!

I had an unfortunate experience at Le Lunel where my partner and I had to wait over an hour to get our food.

After being served our starter (which was delicious), we waited around 40 minutes before managing to grab a waiters attention. When asked about where our mains were, we were told they’d be out shortly. After waiting another 20 minutes and enquiring again, our food finally came out followed by the excuse of an issue within the kitchen. I have very high doubts of this being true given the fact the 5 tables around us that arrived later had already received starters and mains!

When almost finishing our dinner, we were served a basket of bread with an apology as there was also ‘an issue with the bread’.

It became very clear to us that there had been a mistake where we may have been forgotten about because of the busy nature of the restaurant. This happens and we are understanding of this, however, without receiving any sort of apology or rectification, it becomes frustrating.

As soon as we had finished we asked for the bill as we had now been sat at this restaurant for close to 2 hours. We had to wait a further 30 minutes to get the bill.

For a bill to amount to around 80 euros with only a soft drink each, it is the bare minimum to provide a decent level of customer service or an actual apology for failing to...

We had a great dinner at Restaurant Le Lunel in Nice. The atmosphere was cozy and authentic, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout the evening.

As a starter, we ordered the snails and marinated shrimp. Snaiks were absolutely delicious and we highly recommend trying them. Shrimp were a zesty, good but different taste. For mains, we had the beef tartare with French fries, octopus with vegetables, fish, and pasta with fish. Everything was incredibly fresh, well-seasoned, and full of flavor.

The quality of the ingredients really stood out, and the dishes were prepared with care and attention to detail. A perfect place for anyone looking to enjoy honest, local cuisine.
