HYDE — Restaurant in Nice

We are on vacation in Nice and stumbled across Hyde on our way to The Port de Nice. We order a burger, steak and salad with watermelon, cucumber & Feta. The feta cheese was the best I’ve ever eaten. Everything was so fresh & delicious. The burger was ridiculously good and the steak with salt & roasted garlic was one of the best I’ve had, we ordered a second. Our lunch was so good. We came back after our boat ride and this time had dessert. The pistachio crème brûlée was something I will dream about for years to come. The service was remarkable, everyone was so personal and attentive. We have pretty hard standards with food coming from NY where we frequent some of the top restaurants & just traveling in Italy. My wife and spen 3 nights in Nice we had dinner at Hyde on our last night for her 40th birthday, and we were blown away. Your passion for flavour and quality ingredients did not go unnoticed the entire meal was outstanding, from the drinks to the generous slice of pie you shared with us to celebrate.

We’d been searching for two nights to find somewhere special and French !! but kept coming across the same repetitive menus—pizza, pasta, and little else. Hyde was a breath of fresh air and exactly what we’d been hoping for.

as someone who never reviews restaurants i felt compelled to leave a review after the nice evening me and my partner had here. we were immediately warmly greeted by Yannick who pulled us up a chair, a blanket and turned on the heater to keep us warm. while we decided on our meals, we received a delicious complimentary plate of popcorn with truffle oil. we had the mussel and frites, escargot, and cheeseboard all of which were generously portioned, well flavoured and reasonably priced. throughout our meal both yannick and charlotte (the other wait staff) were incredibly attentive and regularly checked in with us to ensure we were enjoying. this level of hospitality made us feel so welcomed and this has been our favourite meal during our travels across europe. thank you for...
