We went out looking for some pizza and happened to walk by. They were able to seat us right away.
When we ordered we were told that each person had to order something if we wanted to split a bottle of wine. For context, we were 3 women, who wanted to split 1 bottle of white wine and we originally ordered 2 pizzas. We did end up ordering a bruschetta as well. But just good to be aware of when planning your trip.
The food - AMAZING. We ordered the pizza diavolo and the truffle pizza. Both were amazing and I would highly recommend both (although if you have to pick one go for the truffle). The pizza is made in a proper pizza oven and honestly was so good. Between the 3 of us we weren’t able to finish the 2 pizzas and barely touched the bruschetta. Would highly recommend the food.
The service was only ok. The food came out quickly, and our drinks were quick to be brought to the table. Where we ran into some issues with the service is when it came time to pay. For whatever reason, the machine for cards was not working (we tried multiple cards). We offered to go get cash, and one of us stayed behind so they were assured of us returning with cash. The 2 of us who left walked to the nearest ATM and got our cash to cover the bill. While we were gone, the servers were constantly telling the person who stayed behind that they regularly have issues with their machine and what usually happens is people just walk out on their bill. The person who stayed behind said that’s why they stayed but the server continually made statements about this being a problem they have. The 2 people who went to get cash returned within 15 minutes. While I can understand that people in the past have skipped out on their bills (which is horrible and not fair to a small business), I can’t understand why it was repeated multiple times to the person who stayed behind.
Although we had some difficulty- I would still recommend eating here. I would suggest bringing cash with you just in case.
The cost was about $75 for a bottle of wine, 2 pizzas and an order of bruschetta...
Read moreI'm making this review because of the very rude and unprofessional behavior of the waiters. We were here yesterday with my friend, for a quick stop to eat some pizza and leave immediately. We got offered a table, and when we wanted to order, it was only me who wanted to eat, my friend took only a drink, the waiter started yelling at us "No, two pizzas! Two pizzas!" We explained, we are here for only 15 min and only I am eating, but she was yelling at us that we need to order two or leave. We wanted to talk with who is in charge, but she was not communicating at all, only shouting at us to buy two pizzas. I was shocked from this rude behavior, not giving even a chance to talk to compromise. She could've handled the situation differently in explaining in a calm manner. There is no difference, it's one table occupied, no matter if one or two are eating. Would've she denied me as well if I came alone?
Not to mention, that she was talking Italian to us, we are here in France, speak French or ask us if we speak Italian. And no, we don't.
Very unpleasant experience, and I was a customer here before, the pizza is good. But after this, I'm never coming again and I recommend you to avoid this place, because the service is very low and disrespectful.
To the restaurant: change your waiters or train them how to talk respectfully...
Read moreThis is the best pizza you can eat on the French Riviera! Locations is ideal as a few steps from busy port area and near city centre of Nice. The place is not too big, but with a very nice ambience. I wanted to have a real Neapolitan pizza, and finally I found it. Tasty, soft, juicy, generous size, with real mozzarella! Price is very fair, considering the size and it’s just same price of a “commercial pizza”… It made me really feel in Naples. So, for me, the best pizza on Cote d’Azur! Also try the other specialities, all traditionally cooked receipts, here the food is a serious matter.
