Classic, posh, and delicious food. Paloma Beach Club is a timeless sanctuary located in the heart of St Jean Cap Ferrat. If you want to escape the busy, crowded beaches of Nice, then venture out to Paloma Beach Club where elegance meets relaxation. The sand is pebbly but this is expected in the French Riviera. To access the beachfront, you have to walk up and down a long flight of stairs to get to the bottom, so keep this in mind if you have a disability. The lounge chairs were comfortable and great umbrellas with shade coverage. The food was delicious, with seaside service. I highly recommend getting the Nicoise salad, it is a staple and a must with fresh vegetables. The Fritto Misto was delicious as well. The Paloma cocktail was their best, and they had a long extensive cocktail menu with various options. My only complaint was the bathrooms needed more upkeep and cleaning. I have been to many luxury beach clubs throughout the South of France and by far their bathrooms were the least clean and less facilities, and yet the prices were the same if not more expensive than others. However, the very helpful staff, delicious cuisine, and gorgeous views made up for it. Special thanks to the kind shuttle driver who drove us back to the port and gave us a tour of the town- you made our experience even more memorable! We...
Read moreThis is one of our favorite spots on earth, we just had our 20 year anniversary party here! This is the best beach around with amazing views and great people watching. The water is always clean compared to the other beaches (Beaulieu or Villefranche for example).
If you’re doing the public beach, it is rocky, so bring something soft or cushioned to lay on. If you go to the restaurant, the lounge chairs are €40 each. There is a little cafe a 3 min walk away if you don’t want to eat at the Paloma restaurant.
The parking situations is bad, try to Uber there, or park by the harbor and Paloma will send their vintage VW bus or tuk tuk which is fun! You can eat on your lounge chairs or at the restaurant. The food is obviously expensive (you’re in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat!!), and could be better at times, but it’s pretty good overall. When we had our anniversary dinner there though the food was amazing! Much better than any of the lunches we had there. Everyone at the party kept saying how delicious the food was and this is a tough crowd to please.
It really is a magical spot both during the day and evening and it’s a must see when your...
Read moreOur favourite day travel beach (from Antibes) is not like it was and it might be that it was our last trip there after coming regularly for 17 years.
It is a beach with beautiful surroundings, and the city and drive to the beach is quite charming.
First, paying 50 euro per sunbes and you have to pay 7 euro extra for a parasol? For a family it is 200 euros before having ordered anything.. it has always been among the more expensive beaches, but this is just too much for what you get. Water was a bit dirty with plastics etc. but I know someone did their best removing this with a boat.
And 15 euro for a smoothie… had to say no to that for the children.
Rented a stand up paddle for 30 eur for an hour which is ok, but the paddle was broken and the board did not have its main fin.
Earlier it was a nice place to dive from etc. but that was lost in a hurricane and not rebuilt. Not Paloma’s fault, but adds to the total experience.
Sorry, but I’m no longer longing for visiting Paloma Beach. Thanks for some wonderful visits throughout the...
