PATISSERIE LE VANILLIER — Restaurant in Nice

We happened upon this fabulous little patisserie walking from the Gare de Nice to the Promenade des Anglais. Absolutely fresh, mouth-watering patisseries. We go everyday to sample something new. I'm so glad we lucked into finding it as it is not in an obvious spot. Close to the musicien district but really a 5 minute walk from Place Masséna at the corner of Auber and Verdi. Yum! And today I tried their gluten and lactose free macaroons (very good), yesterday the strawberry tarte on almond base (the mouth-watering one). Gives me a break from over-consuming flour...

Absolutely phenomenal! Pâtisserie Le Vanillier truly excels in the art of pastry. The éclair and croissant were delicious, each bite revealing layers of perfect flavor and texture. However, it was the cookie that truly stole the show – it was out of this world amazing. I've never tasted anything like it!

The ambiance was charming, and the shop keeper was warm and welcoming. This place is a must-visit for any pastry lover.

I really wanted to like THIS place given the reviews - I have actually WALKED here from the hill opposite (La Collie) When i entered the old lady seemed nice. Little did I know she sold me macaroons which were less than Flavourfull. Not to mention the artificial colouring resembling Dhiwali celebrations ... not my fav place in Nice.
