Disappointing experience. Staff made a fuss over a simple request for a carafe of tap water, eventually giving us glasses but no carafe. We were asked to move tables after being seated, adding to the disorganisation.
Food arrived quickly and presentation was acceptable but quality was subpar: dry, store-bought-tasting flatbread, under-seasoned batata harra, watery tabbouleh, tiny hummus portion, and dry falafel. Only forks were provided, and we had to ask for an extra plate to share.
Service was inattentive—we were ignored twice when trying to request the bill, then told we had to go inside to pay.
Only after being insistent were we given a small discount, which was met with hostility.
A poor representation of a cuisine known for its depth of flavour and generosity. Stay clear.
Eating a dish doesn’t mean it was good—we were hungry, not impressed, and needed food before our flight. No picture can capture how dry, bland, and poorly seasoned the food...
Read moreReally great kebab in Nice. We walked 30min to Pera and it was worth the trek. We had the Kebab wrap and the Kebab plate both served with chips.
I’ve had a few kebabs back home in Australia and these were Great. Not to heavy or garlicky and a really light and fluffy wrap bread. The chicken was flavorsome and just enough spice. Everything looked fresh and the chicken was carved straight off the rotisserie onto the plate/wrap. Pera is also good value by Nice standards.
They have takeaway as well as seating (indoor and out) with table service. We sat inside and it was a pleasant experience- just a little hot despite the air conditioning (but it was a hot day). They have toilets also - they were clean.

Read moreThis restaurant is a real letdown in an otherwise beautiful part of Nice. The service was rude and inattentive—we were ignored when asking for the bill, met with reluctance when requesting tap water, and only given forks to eat with.
The food was just as disappointing. The tabbouleh was drowned in a watery vinegar dressing, the patata harra had some flavour but was completely dry, and the bread was served dry. Don’t be fooled by how the food looks in photos, it is deceptive and fails to reflect the dish.
Frankly, the low-quality food and service bring shame to the local community, which deserves far better representation. We won’t be returning, and wouldn’t...
