ROZE brasserie — Restaurant in Nice

Gave this restaurant a try. I had the rib-eye steak and my wife had the Cesar salad. The waiter got my beverage wrong, I order a sweet wine and that is not what I got. When I got what was supposed to be a rib-eye, which it was not, it looked like a dry piece of some weird cut but not rib-eye. The meat was some sort of brown color and I should have known right away that something was not quite right. It was very difficult to cut, even with a steak knife, and I order rare which it was so it was the quality of the meat. My French fries were cold. The Cesar salad was just ok, no flavor. We were hoping to get dessert, but after waiting 30 minutes decided to leave. The waiter was to busy taking care of his friends to pay attention to his other customers. The atmosphere/location was great, but there are plenty of other restaurants in the same square.

The cafe recently changed owners, and it is very noticeable unfortunately. 2 stars because the waiter greeting us and the waitress serving us were very friendly. However, The menu has changed, which would be fine if the dishes would have been replaced with something of similar quality. The meal has not the value you paid for. Usually we leave and we are full, now we paid 18 euro for a local saucisse with mashed potatoes, that left us feeling like we just had a small starter. We got a dame blanche as dessert (9 euro) which was one scoop of ice cream and some sauce, while we could have ordered a scoop of icecream on there menu for 3 euro's. It seemed like they were understaffed in the kitchen, and the boss seemed to be interfering.

This restaurant has service issues which will never get resolved.

We have eaten here before that’s why we only had coffee this time as we know how bad the service is and it is very consistent. Nobody came to take our order. Only after 15 minutes. So we went ahead and just ordered coffee because we know it will take forever.

The people working here doesn’t seem to care about their work. Neither does the management because they know, due to the location, customers come. No need to make efforts to make their place better in terms of service.

Staffs are so unfriendly and unwelcoming and do not care at all and they don’t also care that they never care.
