Very VALENTINA — Restaurant in Nice

As a family we ate here on our first afternoon of our holidays. To say we were not disappointed is an understatement. The food was outstanding. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We could have easily sat there all afternoon and watched the world go by. Even with our broken French we managed. We will be back before we leave on Saturday as our friend's son has joined us and we have raved about it.

Let me start by saying that the food was really good, it was fresh and delicious, from the starter until the dessert. The only problem we had was the service. We waited more than one hour from the end of the main course until one of the waiters came to us. Even after asking if we wanted dessert, we waited another 30 min until we asked them to bring it to us because it was getting ridiculous. The whole dinner took more than 2.5 hours for 3 courses. We were here yesterday, a Saturday, and just asked for frites and beer and were treated with kindness and professionalism but never pomposity . We sat in the sun on the terrace among other guests who were enjoying what looked like beautiful full meal dishes that they were receiving praise.
