We really enjoyed their pizza at the beginning. We ordered a couple of times per month in the last three years. The dough was fluffy and tasty, they used good quality cheese and toppings (aubergine and truffle were our favourite choices) and they offered the same quality you get in a very good restaurant in Paris, but for much more affordable prices. However, this year our orders were extremely disappointing... The quality has continued to fall... even though they have raised their prices. You get industrial mozzarella cheese, no parmezan, the tomatoes sauce, the aubergine and truffle cream have nothing to do with what they delivered in the past. The staff here is incredibly accommodating; they even saved me from my struggles with French by explaining everything in English. The ordering process, a bit unique with a separate till in a different shop front, turned out to be surprisingly easy. The food, oh, it was fantastic! I tried the truffle pasta and panini pizza cream base—extraordinary flavors that left me wanting more. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, and there was even a highchair for the little one. Read moreActually had a bad experience with the Paysanne pizza, as the egg was entirely raw. It looked like they cooked the pizza then cracked an egg on top. The egg had run off the top of the pizza and through the box, soaking into the base and making it soggy.
We called as soon as we had realised assuming it was a mistake. The person who answered was rude and unhelpful, and said we can bring it back and they would cook it again. Which was a bit poor as the base was already soggy and the quality of the pizza would be degraded. I also wasn’t shopping for a twice cooked soggy pizza.
If I had of just gotten a cooked pizza I wouldn’t be writing...
