Bel-Ami — Restaurant in Paris

I went there last night with a friend for a drink. The menu for drinks is confusing: martini and a list of drinks but none of them has martini inside, it's just the shape of the glass. Well, I order a simple martini. I specify that I don't want nothing inside, not even ice. I get a martini in a glass that could be used for water, and inside there's a slice of lemon! Now, first I've specifically asked that it has to have nothing in it. Second, in the whole world is known that if you put anything in martini, it's an olive, but lemon? Anyway, I can't have lemon so I asked to change it and instead the girl takes the slice of lemon away and brings me the same drink, with residues of lemon inside. Honestly, I would have somehow understood if the place was packed, but it was pretty empty. It's two stars only for the location, but service and bartender is not...

We sat down late at night hoping to be in and out quick. We ordered water, one cocktail and two entrees. Our waitress immediately gave us drinking glasses and a bottle of olive oil. After 20 minutes, I had to yell for our waitress across the restaurant for the carafe of water. It seemed like she was avoiding our table as she was serving a large group next to us. After another 10 minutes, I had to reminder her about our cocktail order. She apologized saying she forgot but I even mentioned it when I asked for the water. I didn’t even receive the correct drink. When our food arrived, I was disappointed. The “king prawns” are just overly cooked shrimp. For 19€, 4 is definitely not enough. Food overall was under seasoned and over priced. Some emplyee seems dishonest. My brother forgot his wallet there and several employee recognised him when he came back first and confirmed that they did find his wallet with his name on his driving licence, bank card..etc.

Then, they did not find it and they looked very surprised. So they asked a colleague of theirs. He said first that he took the wallet to the service of lost items of the city. When my brother figured out that it is impossible since it is closed on sundays, he changed the story and said that he ve put the wallet in the garbage can.

It is a very suspicious story and unfortunately the patronship backed the employee's second story. So, at least they admit that when they find a wallet: they look into it recognize the owner and then just throw it in the...
