We were a group of six dining at Café Luna in Paris, and unfortunately, not a single one of us left satisfied. While the prices are relatively average for Paris, the quality of the food and overall experience was far below acceptable. Honestly, you’d be better off cooking at home or grabbing something from the frozen aisle of a supermarket.
Let’s start with the service: at first glance, it seemed passable. But as the evening went on, it quickly deteriorated. Orders were mixed up, some dishes arrived without sauces or the correct sides, and no real attention was paid to how we were doing. Staff seemed overwhelmed or indifferent, and any attempts to fix the mistakes felt more like a hassle to them than part of their job.
As for the food… well, the appetizers were mediocre at best. Rushed, bland, and clearly not made with care. But it was the main courses that really revealed the disaster. Two pizzas came out soggy, flavorless, and with the unmistakable texture and taste of something frozen and reheated. The meat dishes were even worse: poor quality cuts, incorrect sides, missing sauces, and most importantly, not cooked as requested. We had to send them back because the kitchen clearly doesn’t know the difference between rare and well-done. But the worst part isn’t even the wrong cooking it’s that the meat itself was just inedible. It was so chewy and tough that it was literally impossible to eat.
By the end of the meal, none of us had the energy to try the desserts we just wanted to pay and leave as quickly as possible. The entire experience felt like a waste of time and money.
Café Luna might look charming from the outside, but don’t be fooled. This place is all style and no substance a forgettable restaurant that doesn’t respect its customers’ expectations or palates. We won’t be coming back, and I strongly recommend...
Read moreHello, I ordered Pasta Bolognese. I really like them and I know what they taste like! The waiters bring the order to me, it looks like nothing at all from the picture, that's why I started eating. The first bite was tasteless, I didn't understand why the pasta was tasteless?? Then I take the second and third sips and it just tastes like water. I don't know how it's possible, I really can't imagine, but the pasta must taste meat and at least some tomato sauce. I just can't imagine how it's possible, but the pasta is overcooked and has no taste at all, even when mixed with meat and tomato sauce. I called the waiter and told him that my food is overcooked. He started bringing me a plate from another table of people. It started showing that the whole plate was eaten by a person. Even though the food was ordered later than mine, I tell him maybe the food was ordered by a person, maybe it's not made the same way? He started to explain to me very rudely, I told him that he can taste the macaroni himself, he replied that he doesn't like this macaroni😀I said, can they invite someone, the chef or another employee, to taste the pasta because it just tastes like water. He said no. I asked him to call me the manager. He said that the manager will only be there at night, I say how is that possible? i say give me his number. They say we don't have his number. Literally, in the end, he spoke very rudely to me, although I spoke to him nicely...and I just had to pay for the food I didn't eat at all! I can say I’m very disappointed! 2024.10.28 12:00-13:00h.🙃 I hope people will consider such restaurants, especially...
Read moreThis place is in a great location for people watching, they know how to cook, and the decor works. So what's wrong?
We got to our table quickly, the place was busy but not full. We probably should have left when the man at the table next to ours had to get up and get the waiter to bring him his bill and then demand his change.
We had to ask for the menus as the staff were just busying around us and ordered nothing very grand.
After seeing other tables that had arrived before us get their food, I asked the waiter to check how long it would be. He nevber came back with an answer so I asked again, more angrily. By this time we had been sitting for forty minutes with just our drinks.
At last, our food arrived. The chips were barely lukewarm, but the rest (steak, prawns & pizza) were quite good.
Throughout the wait, there were 3 TV screens showing minor events on a sports channel. This is clearly a tourist restaurant as a) no-one was watching the TVs and b) the area is saturated with Irish bars, which were heaving with fans.
So, with nobody watching, when the main match came on, they turned the volume up, which still didn'ty get anybody watching.
Normally, at this time, we would have ordered desserts and coffee, maybe another drink, but we'd had enough.
Sort yourselves out Luna, you have a nice-looking establishment in a great spot in a bustling area of a world city. Pick...
