Not for the General Tourist but for those that can relate to Vincent Van Gough while he was in Paris Montmartre. As you may know, this was where Vincent Van Gough would paint pictures of the Courtyard and the Buildings across the street and started to develop his style of Impressionism using the materials that were available to Montmartre artists (like the paint colors that would ultimately be associated with him). Other than that, it is just the Door, the Window, the Courtyard and the Street (and the little dedication Plaque showing the address). For the enthusiast.

Amazing neighborhood where Van Gogh was inspired. My poor son spent the day being dragged from 1 artsy place to another but I hope some day he will look back and appreciate that he stood where the great Van Gogh lived and worked. A few people stopped to take a look and we took a million pictures. If you love art and are in Paris how can you not stop to see the incredible blue door and plaque!

On the one hand, it is nice to see the place Van Gough lived - if only for 2 years. On the other hand... really, there is a plaque and a closed set of shutters, so not really much to see. If you're already visiting Montmartre or Sacre Coer, and like Van Gough, stop by - but don't make a special trip.
