Just eaten at this amazing restaurant, Bodega Potxolo in the rue de la forges royale, Paris. The tapas was delicious, all served by the owner, Patrice, a lovely, attentive and jovial host. As our french is a bit limited he took us into the kitchen to tell us about each of the dishes on offer, all cooked fresh to order. The wine, or sangria in our case, is served on a "charged by what you drink basis" and finally, when we came to pay and suggested a tip to be added to the bill he said -no, and only included half the sum. We’re Canadians who admittedly don’t speak much French and Patrice kindly invited us into his kitchen to see his ingredients in action: we asked him to surprise us with five dishes and he delivered.
