Cafe Dupont is the most welcoming and friendly place in Paris. My traveling plans were interrupted, and I found myself stranded in Paris. I went into the first cafe I saw, explained my situation (in English), and was welcomed with open arms. The wonderful staff there got me a cafe and croissant, directed me to a clean and comfortable hotel, and checked back with me to make sure I was OK. I have been coming here every day during my stay The cocktails are delicious, a good selection of wine and beer, and a food menu that has something for everyone. Cafe Dupont is a place where the locals gather, and they have been very welcoming to me as well. The staff and customers have been helping me with my French. We were a group of 18 people. Adults, children and youth in search for a good meal almost for 30 min. When finally just in front if the Metro station Brochant we found this lovely restaurant. Even though the waiter was zealous it took a few to get the order done and the food to arrive.
The food was delicious and the portion were filling(I took the Knuckle of lamb and my mom the braised beef). The atmosphere was rather calm but pleasant. The only big deficit is the surrounding. It's not recommended to walk with small children or alone in the evening.

We decided to eat there on the 1st September to celebrate two family members birthdays, and the brilliant waiter Fabrice who had served us each time we visited the Brasserie offered to arrange birthday cake and set up a table for the 9 of us that evening. we were impressed when we saw the table decorated for us and the cake was fantastic .
