Nous avons pris une assiette de sticks de mozzarella à partager, mais mauvaise surprise : la salade décorative servie dans l’assiette contenait visiblement de la terre. Deux de mes amis en ont mangé et ont immédiatement senti la terre croquer sous la dent. C’était flagrant à la vue comme au goût. Étant enceinte et non immunisée contre la toxoplasmose, je n’ai heureusement pas touché à cette salade. Mais il faut rappeler que pour une femme enceinte, consommer de la salade mal lavée peut avoir des conséquences graves pour le bébé. Cela soulève de réelles inquiétudes sur l’hygiène en cuisine. J’avais également commandé un Virgin Mojito, et je suis maintenant préoccupée par la propreté des feuilles de menthe utilisées. En fin de repas, ma copine a signalé au serveur le problème de terre. Sa réponse a été décevante : d’abord il a parlé d’une “décoration posée par le cuisinier”, puis a tenté de dire que c’était la chapelure des sticks de mozzarella… sauf que nous étions quatre à voir et deux à croquer de la vraie terre. L’explication n’était absolument pas crédible. Il aurait été préférable et plus honnête de reconnaître simplement les faits et de s’excuser. Cela aurait été plus professionnel et respectueux, surtout que le serveur n’était pas en cuisine et que nous étions quatre témoins à dire la même chose. Malheureusement, il n’a pas reconnu ses torts, ne s’est pas excusé et n’a montré aucune compréhension. C’est regrettable. Quand on paye un repas au restaurant, on s’attend au minimum à de l’hygiène et à un service honnête.

I don’t know what this place was like before they changed ownership but the place is amazing now. Great service, great food. We even forgot our sunglasses. We walked outside from one minute, but they had already taken care of it. As soon as we walked back inside, they called us and gave us back the sunglasses. Amazing service.

Que font les autorités compétentes ? Je suis obligée de faire mon devoir de citoyen là : Fuyez !!! Il faut fermer cet établissement et j'écris cela malgré TOUT mon soutien envers la profession c'est dire ! La bouffe (si si ça se dit, ça existe nos parents disaient n'importe quoi) était très chère, horrible et douteuse puisque j'ai été malade toute la nuit avec seulement deux bouchées ! J'ai croisé une souris blanche qui sortait de la cuisine puis deux cafards sur le mur des toilettes juste en face de celle-ci. Pensez à prendre vos couverts avec vous parce qu'ils ne savent pas à quoi ça sert et soyez de bonne humeur car c'est à vous d'être sympa avec le personnel. En même temps, vu comment le patron les humilie c'est déjà bien qu'il ne pleure pas ! De la compassion pour eux sauf pour la serveuse qui dit aux clients "A jamais'" gratuitement quand ils partent.

Cafe Dupont is the most welcoming and friendly place in Paris. My traveling plans were interrupted, and I found myself stranded in Paris. I went into the first cafe I saw, explained my situation (in English), and was welcomed with open arms. The wonderful staff there got me a cafe and croissant, directed me to a clean and comfortable hotel, and checked back with me to make sure I was OK. I have been coming here every day during my stay The cocktails are delicious, a good selection of wine and beer, and a food menu that has something for everyone. Cafe Dupont is a place where the locals gather, and they have been very welcoming to me as well. The staff and customers have been helping me with my French. The kitchen is open until midnight, which is rare in Paris. I will keep...

Very satisfying

We were a group of 18 people. Adults, children and youth in search for a good meal almost for 30 min. When finally just in front if the Metro station Brochant we found this lovely restaurant. Even though the waiter was zealous it took a few to get the order done and the food to arrive.

The food was delicious and the portion were filling(I took the Knuckle of lamb and my mom the braised beef). The atmosphere was rather calm but pleasant. The only big deficit is the surrounding. It's not recommended to walk with small children or alone in the evening.

All in all I would recommend this restaurant. Wish...

We were staying at The Ibis Hotel very near the Le Comptoir Brochant, after the family had our first breakfast there we went each morning for breakfast before heading off to Central Paris. We decided to eat there on the 1st September to celebrate two family members birthdays, and the brilliant waiter Fabrice who had served us each time we visited the Brasserie offered to arrange birthday cake and set up a table for the 9 of us that evening. we were impressed when we saw the table decorated for us and the cake was fantastic .
