Casta Diva — Restaurant in Paris

Very welcoming upon entering. Spoke clear French and English.

Menu is QR code. As foreigners we don’t have data. Owner provided us with internet access so we could view menu.

Wife and I ordered 2 glasses of Barolo. New bottle was opened for us. Blood red orange limonde was terrific.

Starter of Ortaggi (vegetables) was out of this world. Multiple different flavors spread across the plate was unexpected and received well by our palates.

Each main was plated professionally. All the pasta texture was cooked to perfection. Homemade ravioli was appreciated. Prawn linguine looked like it could be on the cover of an Italian cooking magazine.

Prices weren’t cheap. They were definitely worth it.

In closing, if you are traveling and want to ensure you have a great meal, this is the place. Nothing about this experience didn’t go well. The owner/server instilled confidence in me that he truly cared about our eating experience.

I was looking forward to eating here as the reviews seemed good and the food looked great. Sadly I was a bit disappointed at the food.

The server was great. Very friendly.

I wanted to order Linguini with Crevette but they were out at lunchtime, which was not a problem. So instead I chose the Penne Al’Amatriciana which is something I have eaten several times before. I have to say it had a weird taste. The tomatoes were great, but there was something that threw off the balance of the dish. I am guessing the Guanciale.

The portion sizes are very generous, but it was a shame I could not enjoy the dish. Maybe it’s not a problem with the restaurant, just this dish, since lots of people seemed to enjoy their food. Maybe I’ll try to eat here again and give a better review when I try something tastier....

I was looking for a nice Italian restaurant not far from my hotel. Went to this restaurant because of the good reviews. I ordered caprese and carbonara (Lasagna and Bolognese were not available) While the caprese was really good, the carbonara was a disaster. It was dry, tasteless pasta - added salt and pepper to make it edible as I was really hungry. The worst pasta I ever tried. I do cook it better at home. Don't expect a great dining experience...
