This bakery is NOT FOR TOURISTS. We were at Eric Kayser in February and as it was the closest bakery to our hotel we went there several times to have breakfast. We had a terrible experience every day, not because of the food (great and fresh baguettes and sweets) but because of the service. In general the staff did not make an effort to speak English and made us look like fools! Specifically, on the first day we ordered 2 things that were in the display case, and they gave us completely the opposite: a crepe explicitly ordered with chocolate that came empty. With the French the staff were kind and friendly. We noticed a great inequality. The worst situation was that we paid almost €30 for breakfast for 3, where the man who served us wrote down 2 menus instead of giving us individual things, which were cheaper. Best place to leave feeling satisfied when you are not fancying a formal lunch or care for table service. My chicken sandwich burger was delicious and was a much needed alternative to Mcdonalds in the touristy areas of the centre.
