Itoko — Restaurant in Paris

Took my partner here for a birthday meal and we were not disappointed!

The staff were very friendly and although the restaurant was quiet when we arrived the atmosphere was very warm and inviting with nice modern decor.

We had three courses of mixed starters, sushi/steak mains and cheesecake/mochi for dessert.

All the food was beautifully cooked, presented and served to us in perfect timing. I was just sad that I couldn’t try more things on the menu! I would definitely recommend getting x2 of the tempura cheese balls, absolutely delicious and very addictive. Three courses and one beer each came to €61 which is phenomenal value in my opinion.

I also mentioned on the booking that it was my partner’s birthday and the staff dimmed the lights/sang joyeux anniversaire which was a very nice touch if you like to slightly embarrass your loved one on their special day 😂

This restaurant in my neighborhood was such an excellent find. First, the prices are extremely good, especially for this neighborhood, but also in terms of value for the price. Itoku has a pretty diverse menu of Japanese options, from sushi and sashimi to traditional Japanese fried fare like Yakisoba and tempura. One of the best sashimi in Paris 😍

My friend and I were looking for a good sashimi place for a long time, and I think we found it. We ordered a large set for 58 euros, which also included miso soup, cabbage, and a side dish (rice, edamame, or noodles). We waited for about 40 minutes, but it was worth it! It was served on a boat, and the fish tasted AMAZING! Our set included: sashimi, sushi, and nigiri.

I usually only eat salmon sashimi because tuna is not tasty in many places, but here it was heavenly! And the size is good too. Will definitely go back :)
