Hoppy Corner — Restaurant in Paris

My partner and I had an unfortunate experience at the Hoppy Corner. We arrived around 6:00 PM, only to be denied entry by an employee who was quite rude and blocked the entrance. Despite his insistence that the bar was full, that was visibly not the case and we noticed two patrons leaving in front of our eyes, which made it even more bewildering that we were turned away. This was my first experience of being denied entry to a bar, and it was quite a shock. Luckily this is not the only beer place in Paris and we quickly moved on and found consolation at nearby Mikkeller and La Binouze, where we enjoyed some excellent craft beers instead. Merci Hoppy Corner! This place continues to amaze. The staff, the atmosphere, the beers and the general vibe must rank this gem in the top ten of craft beer bars in the world.

You’ll never find a place that can entertain, make you feel like you’re at your hometown corner bar, satisfy your thirst, or make you feel as welcomed as in the Hoppy Corner.

Their staff are the most hospitable, welcoming and extremely down to earth. Their beers are some of the finest the craft industry has to offer.

I challenge you to find a better value craft beer pub in Paris. The bar has a great rotating selection of craft beer also excellent food! Staff are cheerful and knowledgeable about the beer, they were happy to tell me about several and taste a few. The prices are fair too. Around 4-5 euro for a half pint 7-9 euro for the pint. I've seen a few high gravity beers for more. Considering there are many bars in Paris where pints of Heineken are 8 euro, this place is a deal!
