l'Envie — Restaurant in Paris

Had dinner at this restaurant because it has good reviews. We were hesitant to go in initially because the restaurant was empty. But restaurant quickly filled up after we arrived. Even with 1 hostess working, service was still quick and efficient.

Hostess and chef were both friendly and helpful. I chose the fish dish from the specials menu and my husband selected the burger. Fish was delicious along with salad and mashed potatoes. Burger was cooked well done even though he asked for medium rare, and meat needed a little more seasoning.

Dessert and latte were both delicious, and this was a great last meal in Paris before...

I was staying in a hotel nearby, it was late on a French bank holiday, I was hungry and opened Google Maps to find some restaurant nearby that could still be open. I found l’Envie, which had some good reviews, and walked there.

They were about to close, they could just tell me that the kitchen was closed and it would be okay, but they gave me some options that I could still have for a late dinner. I chose one of them and it was really good: salmon with a bit of pesto, rice and vegetables.

How to start? We were in Paris for three nights and even though there is a lot of choice we liked the restaurant with its food, drink and especially the staff so much that we went back the next night. On the second evening we had an absolutely unforgettable time with the owners. BiBi is very accommodating and an absolutely fantastic host! We had a fantastic time with him, laughed a lot and drank one or two shots too many. All around we had an unforgettable time at this restaurant during our stay in Paris.
