Yo this place is delicious. A good vibe too. We went at dinner time… The waiter with longer hair in a pony was so kind. Made us feel like we were part of the family. We wanted escargot and he said, that’s the signature and told us to try the razor clams and said the shrimp were great too….so we tried em all. The escargot was our fav but the razor clams - we seriously great too. The shrimp great but our third fav out of the group. The simple way prepared was just amazing! The bread of course so good dipping in the sauce of the escargot! We laughed and had fun. The waiter even gave us a shot which was unexpected but so nice. We were truly appreciative . We can’t wait to go back. If ever in the 19th in Paris…go you will love it! Simple, easy, delicious! We wanted to say THANK YOU! Had some wine, me a Coke…yummm. OH AND HIS RECOMMENDATION OF DESSERT…Crème brûlée…came in this three set….it was soooo great! We left none. Would have licked the dishes if we didn’t think people would think we were odd…lol - go and enjoy. And yup I’m from NYC. We are tough critics - this place is magic! We will be back...
Read moreGreat place. Very warm and welcoming. Wonderful atmosphere. The proprietor behind the bar offered me a few different red wines to taste, so that I could choose the one I liked the best. He provided recommendations on menu items. Honestly, he was friendly and you could tell he was proud of his bar/café and the great quality food and drinks he/they offered. (When I was there, the kitchen was closed for renovations so the number of menu items was reduced.) This place is clearly very popular with local residents. Extremely friendly, warm and welcoming - I was there alone, but never felt out-of-place or at all uncomfortable (despite my very limited French vocabulary). I look forward to visiting again as soon as I can get back to Paris (after this damned...
Read moreVery rustic and hospitable place. The cook is always happy and sings french songs, the waiter speaks good english and is very forthcoming and patient. The food tastes great and this was one of the best places we ate at in paris! :) what is there more to add? Several people here write that this place is xenophobic, violent and rude towards people of darker skin tones and foreigners. I can personally attest that tourists of all skin colors were served in the same polite way as anyone in this restaurant and that even us germans with little to no french proficiency were welcomed here with open arms! This place is down to earth and serves great food in a...
