We ran into this brasserie while looking for a bakery during a morning walk. They displayed their seafood at the entrance, it intrigued me to come back the same night for dinner on a Saturday evening. As tourists, we came in early and wanted to beat the crowd, so we showed up to an empty place at 7:00pm. The normal crowd comes in at 8:00pm. We tried their starters with boulots and pink shrimps, which were so fresh and delicious. Then we added their 34 EUR formules for a 3-course, which has a variety of good choices. 6-oyster from Normandy, Egg mayo, or foie gras, were all delicious and fresh. Main course featured piece de boeuf béarnaise and Supreme Chicken with its wonderful sauce Morilles, probably the best version of the sauce you’ll eat in a lifetime. The salmon was also a great choice. Dessert must try are the Rum Baba and Crème brûlée. A bottle of rum is dropped at the table for those who can’t get enough of that delicious rum. The service is top notch for 2 of the 3 dinners we went to, As Monday the new staff is nice but couldn’t get our orders right. Saturday crew was perfect and spot on as we felt we were at a Star Michelin establishment!...
Read moreWent twice, very good service both times. The food is delicious with high quality dishes one would expect with French cuisine - escargots, beef tartare, steak with bearnaise sauce, crepe suzette. All were delicious and we were received very well.
This would be a five star review if it wasn’t for the end of the meal. With the bill a gentleman (who I think is the owner) brought out a little plate of small desserts (like madeleines). We were completely full from everything we had consumed so politely asked if we could take it with us. He was clearly offended and started lecturing us that if ‘people took it with them, the kitchen wouldn’t prepare it, normally people have it with coffee, etc.’ We’re not French, we didn’t mean to be insulting but the interaction felt insulting towards us and left a bitter taste to an otherwise...
Read moreThe restaurant looks good from the street. The food is average but wine is very tasty. The menu is only in French (the English one is only in QR code) which is not good because there are a lot of tourists. The place inside is overcrowded, there are a lot of tables which are so close to each other that it's hard to go through. The staff seems to be artificially nice, especially when you talk in English. What's even more shocking, the waiter just threw some bread to our table from the other one while we were eating. It looked like the leftovers from other clients. Just...
