*Before I mention anything else, I'm updating this review to firstly reflect the serious health risks that come with eating at this establishment. Although they say to you that they offer a variety of items to cater to different diets (Vegetarian/Vegan) THEY DO NOT! A couple of the guests with me were vegan, and their dishes were brought out lathered in cream and cheese after being reassured several times with a "yes yes yes..." that their dietary needs would be considered. Not only this, but when the dishes were taken back, (I'm 99% sure) the cheese was simply scraped off and the dishes were brought back to us!!! This is incredibly dangerous because these diets are not always simply lifestyle choices - they can be important to keeping someone on good health. Trace amounts of an allergen in food after it's been 'scraped off' still exist, and the bottom line is that if I had not said something about it, my guests would have gotten very sick. This is egregious and unacceptable, period. On to the main review.
This is one of the few restaurants in the area that is an unfortunate stain on a landscape of otherwise great dining experiences. First thing's first: the food. Ever tried cooking at home on such a low budget that you can't afford a single spice? Skip that and come here to get your fix of incredibly bland dishes. I ordered a variety of dishes to be met each time with an increasingly foul or bland taste... I haven't scored a restaurant so low in a long time, but the cherry on top is the complete lack of consideration that the staff shows towards customers in need - instantly bringing this rating down to its knees. When Google.com lets you start scoring restaurants with negative-star reviews, I'll be back to remove the undeserved one star that I had to give them. GO ELSEWHERE OR LOSE YOUR HARD...
Read moreGreat cafe on Rue la Fayette for quick lunch or nice dinner. Large sliding glass doors make for a great view of the streets of Paris and a nice breeze. We stopped in for a final lunch on our way to catch our train and what a great last meal in Paris. I started with the onion soup which was nice, followed by a Croque Monsieur which was by far the best I’d had on a 3 night stay in Paris. My wife was looking for something a little simpler and opted for her usual go to, the chicken sandwich which she really enjoyed. Great breaded chicken and served with a side of fries. Highly recommend all 3 dishes.
Great value, quality food, and great service. We were having a late lunch so the wait staff changed over while we were there but everyone that waited on us was friendly and spoke great English. Seemed to also be a few locals which is always...
Read moreAs a local Restaurant we thought we’d have a night out. My partner ordered a Medium Rare Steak. Our meals arrived and his steak was raw, he couldn’t chew it. Definitely not his preference. We wanted to enjoy our time together so decided to ask for it to be cooked longer stating it was definitely not medium rare. It took ages to get waiter’s attention . It came back still blue. At no time did our waiter check to see if we needed anything or that he was happy with the meal. We waited ages to get anyones attention and probably should have got up and taken the meal to the kitchen. However didn’t want to cause a scene (our mistake ) so asked for bill and left. It was an unpleasant experience and not worth the effort of going in. The waiter was unconcerned and did nothing to compensate our...
