My recent stay at Hôtel Montholon was an average experience. The hotel offers affordable rates, but you get what you pay for. I paid for the smallest room and found it to be cramped, with minimal space to move around. The elevator is also very small and can only fit two people without luggage, which can be inconvenient during peak hours. Eco conscious hotel, using current from durable sources, filtering their own water, organic food for breakfast etc. Clean, new rooms, nicely decorated and curtains kept out light nicely. You get some noise from the street but it's alright as long as you keep the windows closed. Less traffic during the weekend. WiFi was very slow in the room.

However happy we were about the room, I can't help but mention the poor breakfast. Not a lot of choices, and the available options don't really cut it. You juice your own oranges, the croissants are not the best, not a lot of different options in general, no fruit at all, no French cheeses. When they run out of coffee half an hour before breakfast ends, they won't make a fresh batch.
