I’m staying near the Gare du Nord and wanted somewhere decent and quality to eat. I did a search on Google and found le mastroquet near my hotel plus it has a good quality rating so decided to try it out. I was greeted by Franck, the owner, who helped me understand the menu. I opted for the formulaire which was starter and main or main and desert or all three. I had Mozzarella with tomatoes with a pesto dressing, seasoned steak tartare with a green salad and fries, finished with a apricot and almond tart. All homemade and seasonal. Very tasty and fresh food. Amazing service and hospitality. Franck knows his food and wine and combines perfectly the food pairings. This restaurant is one of those hidden gems that take a while to find but once you discover what Le Mastroquet has to offer, you will keep coming back. Highly recommend dining here for good quality, well cooked food served...

Good restaurant near the Gare Du Nord. Excellent service, good food, and good for a stop at the Gare Du Nord. Homely atmosphere and great for a lunch either solo or with a friend.

I ordered the set menu with the Rigatoni and Peach Tart. Comes with complimentary bread.

Rigatoni was good, though it didn't seem as good as the two other mains which I could have ordered. I think this dish may need a bit more to it. Food was still delicious. Feedback would be to work on this particular dish a bit more to make it perfect.

Peach tart dessert was excellent.

Rigatoni paired well with a wine suggested by Franc, who gives excellent service.

Definitely reccomend to anyone...

I was famished and craving a good meal without the usual social media hype. I remembered passing Le Mastroquet from a previous visit to Paris and decided to give it a try — and I’m so glad I did. The food was simply delicious, full of authentic flavor and heart. Despite my limited French, the staff were patient, courteous, and genuinely friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I even had a great conversation with a local, which added a warm, personal touch to the evening. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time...
