Le Soleil — Restaurant in Paris

I don't know where to begin. This place is one of a kind. They opened in the beginning of July the same weekend that I had arrived in Paris. I am from Toronto and would only be there for the month. Le Soleil welcomed me with kindness every time I visited (which, I admit, was often) and offered a home away from home with their traditional Middle Eastern food options. Their menu contained so many fantastic choices that were freshly made and delicious every time. Their haloumi sandwich was my favorite thing off the menu and I highly recommend it!

The inside of the restaurant is well decorated, clean and perfect to spend with friends. They have books to read and wall plugs if you're coming to study or work with your laptop. It's a perfect place for breakfast, lunch or dinner which is very rare to find.

Le Soleil is the perfect name for this place because when you're there, you are greeted and treated with a smile at all times. The people who work there are like sunshine. I am grateful to have met them and gotten close to them during my time in Paris. Good, quickly-prepared food in a no-frills environment. Convenient as you can take it to-go or dine there. I chose to sit outside at one of the tables. There are vegan, vegetarian and meat options. I got the vegan falafel plate and a watermelon-ginger juice. I was pleased that the juice was actual juice, and that combination is great if you’ve been travelling. The falafel plate had just the right amount of food. The tabbouleh and grape leaves were the standouts for me. The cook is very friendly and seems happy to have you there. Definitely a must try in 14th arrondissement near cite. We have been always seeing the cafe near lidl and finally got a chance to have food there in evening. Loved it really.. The food is amazing, the host is lovely, cafe decor is neat, clean and classic, prices are on great side as well... We ordered haloumi and hummus sandwich which had matboul on side were so tasty.
