This truly is the worst lidl I have ever been to in my life. It has made me swear to never set foot in another lidl again. The blueprint was seemingly drawn up by someone who designs mazes for rats, when you are in the shop you are penned in, no space to pass another customer. This is even more true by the tils, there is always a queue everyone is frustrated which creates a horrible atmosphere and there is never enough staff on the tills. The electronic tills are rarely, if ever functioning and yet occupy an enormous amount of space. You also have to squeeze past a massive pillar in the middle of the shop to get to a hidden section of toilet roll and cat food, and the potatos are kept in full sun (by a south facing window) in their own strange little cul de sac. It is truly the most poorly designed supermarket I have ever been to. The quality of the produce is not bad, but it is nothing compared to Carrefour or the local markets. And the prices are eye wateringly high compared to other lidls in france and other local supermarkets and markets. And then there is the variety of items. There is nothing! I have never been here for a shop without having to visit another shop. They are completely inconsistent with their goods. I can see really no solution to this lidl other than complete destruction. I recommend potential customers go to the carrefour and avoid this supermarket...
Read moreHorrible supermarket. Yes they sometimes have some decent food specials and the price level is overall lower BUT
some items are ridiculously overpriced (4 red onions 2.49⏠at LIDL vs. 10 red onions 0.99⏠at Carrefour) the walkways in the store are tiny, it just doesnât work to have shopping baskets which you can roll around. at peak hours itâs unbearable and you find yourself constantly colliding with other shoppers they shift around the stock several times a week so itâs impossible to know where things are often sold out of basic items (still water, toilet paper etc.) always long lines for checkout and self checkout self checkout always has some sort of issue and it takes a long time for someone to help they have a physical gate blocking you from leaving the store without scanning a receipt first. this is like imprisonment, especially since the receipt scanner almost never works so you have to wait for...
Read moreI think it is one of the least expensive places in entire Paris for day-to-day things. I won't say it caters to all the needs, like there is no Fresh milk or cream, but it contains most of the things. There are always special offers on things from kitchen items, to clothes to gardening items, etc. What I dislike about the place is their extremely slow check-out lines. The queues get extremely long during peak hours and the check-out takes almost 20-30 minutes, easily. The queues extend to the aisles and it is not even possible to move from one aisle to another from the side where the counters are, without bumping into someone's back or someone's cart! It is even slower than Carrefour and I don't like it there as well. I have seen super-fast check-outs in much busier places and that too handled by humans, so I know it is possible. If only they could work on that, the place would be easier to shop and it might...
