I had a really disappointing experience at this Indian restaurant in Paris. The food was mid at best, nothing special, and certainly not worth the price. I ordered what I thought was butter chicken, but due to the menu being only in French and no clear explanation from the staff, I ended up with something completely different. I sent it back(didn’t request a replacement), and the staff didn’t handle it well. The waiter had a very off-putting attitude the entire time, talking in their language about me which made the experience even worse.
On top of that, there was a photographer going around taking brand photos inside the restaurant. I noticed the manager asked a nearby group for permission, but no one asked me before I was included in their shots, he literally came at my table and took pictures while I was eating a meal (plain rice) I didn’t even like. It felt like I was being used as a prop without my consent.
I ordered the dinner set which supposedly included dessert, but I never received it. Yet I was still charged the full amount €26.50 (about $30.28) for an incomplete and unsatisfying meal. Between the poor service, food confusion, and being photographed without permission, I left extremely dissatisfied. Definitely...
Read moreNot disability friendly. I carry paperwork that my dog is trained by a trainer certified by Assistance Dogs International, along with a letter from my doctor saying he is needed to monitor my medical episodes. As usual, he is so well behaved that they did not even realize he was there until I was seated. I was then asked to leave. I offered my paperwork. No, I would need to navigate through the crowded room and leave the way I cane. I wish these institutions not only understood the law, but understood the humiliation they are inflicting by not knowing it. They aren’t just saying, “Your dog isn’t allowed,” they’re saying, “Your disability is an inconvenience to us.” Well, imagine the inconvenience it is to me. Six months in Europe and I have never had a problem anywhere. Those with disabilities, be warned you may leave with a dose of shame...
Read moreExcellent lunchtime meal. Service was very good and we were welcomed with a smile. I asked to have the spice if my chicken curry increased to just below Madras level and this was of no problem to the waiter. The interior is traditional and classy. So glad to have found a reasonably priced restaurant in Paris that appears to be just like any good Indian restaurant that I'd have visited back home in Scotland. I will definitely be back here again! 10/10 - also all social distancing rules were respected by the staff and the tables were well spaced...
