M.A.D Waffles Chicken Burgers — Restaurant in Paris

We wanted to find a place close to the Picpus Cemetery, and this came up - we are always up for Chicken and Waffles as we've lived in the mid-south US for about 30 years now. We lucked into this place - they know how to do Chicken and Waffles. They made a comment about people saying their waffles are not the same as in the US - they are right, but the waffles are only slightly different - not quite as fluffy as the american version - so it is more a texture difference. However, put that wonderful, wonderful lightly-breaded, fried chicken breast on top (with maple syrup if you want), and you forget all about that minor difference in the waffle. I don't think I've had a better cooked chicken than I had here. The meal we received came with fries, and they were lightly seasoned (not spicy, but herby), which complimented the chicken and waffles to perfection.

We went around 12:30pm, and the restaurant has limited seating (about 20 people max inside, and a couple of tables outside, if the weather is ok), and seems to be doing a brisk to-go business. Hopefully, this place will continue their great food and service. If you are headed to the Picpus area to visit the Marquis de Lafayette's grave, this is an excellent place for a wonderful lunch. We came here one day, because we wanted to eat something quick after a busy day of sightseeing. Turned out to be the best fast food experience of our lives. The chicken burger was absolutely amazing, accompanied with great seasoned fries and all the sauces you could imagine that you get for free. We came back the following day and tried the steak burger.
