Le Cosy Picpus was a great experience for us during our relatively short stay in Paris.
It's very close to the next Metro station (

Rooms - small but personally didn’t mind as we were gone most days. There’s a thermostat in the room that we have to request to be switch on to cool during warmer days but not really a con. Checkout was at 12 and they have a small area where they put your luggage in. It’s worth noting that the hotel does not have elevator! We only stayed for a few days and had little luggage so bringing those up and down wasn’t really a problem.
The only downside we had was the buffet in the restaurant area wasn’t properly explained to us by the first concierge. We went down at 9:30 am on a Sunday and the “buffet” wasn’t ready and bare. The waiters asked us what we wanted and we didn’t know exactly what they served and they couldn’t explain to us due to the language barrier. Long story short, we ended up paying €13 each for 2 fried eggs, one cube of goats cheese, 1 small slice of Brie, a small yogurt, a small amount of charcuterie meat. If we had known it was a “buffet” we would’ve ordered more. But the second concierge was more helpful.
Would stay again. Can’t say much about their buffet. But there is a great little bakery across the street that also...

I got 3 hours sleep due to having to move to the floor as this was more comfortable than the bed. A lady down stairs made a noise complaint and then we received a phone call at around 11pm from concierge Letting us know a complaint had been made - my mother and I both were trying to sleep with lights of and ear plugs in. Potentially this was the beds loud squeezing every time I moved ? However the phone call was disturbing as the noise complaint was for two women laughing. Again the walls are very bad for sound proofing so maybe this was the beds loud squeaking.
Staff at the front reception were really kind and empathetic towards the situation, but due to management constraints unable to offer a new bed or refund. so ultimately I had to book another place to stay last minute at my own expense, which was extremely stressful and expensive being Easter weekend. As the hotel could not offer any resolution I escalated to Booking.com who have been helpful as a mediator to achieve a resolution.
Positives: the reception staff, the fluffy towels and location, booking.com help
Negatives: I had to sleep on the floor due to how uncomfortable and loud the beds were and ultimately, check out early. I wish I had not booked here and regret...
