Montijo Paris — Restaurant in Paris

We spent New Year's Eve in Montijo with their special dinner and it was a really enjoyable experience. From the start, all the staff seemed happy to be there and were very polite and warm.

We took their dinner with wine pairings, which was definitely a big plus! Their sommelier really knows his wines, and was giving us really detailed explanation about each Spanish wine we had. All the wines paired wonderfully with their assigned dish and were delightful, a good showcase for Spanish wines from sparkling to dessert wines.

The dishes themselves were nothing we hadn't already tried before (except the Iberian artichoke and the nougat mousse) but everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly, a real bouquet of flavours from the cheese and ham appetizers, the cocktail shrimps, the Iberian artichoke, the sea bass and the poached pear and nougat mousse.

The boss (owner?) seemed really invested in us and his staff having a good time, all of them were shining positive energy at all times. He was leading us into the Spanish tradition of eating a grape for each bell ring at midnight and we really felt like he was enjoying introducing us to this custom.

All in all a really positive experience for a fair price for a New Year's Eve in Paris considering the quality of the food and...

This restaurant offers Spanish-style tapas, and the food is really, really good — full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Whether you’re in the mood for just a snack or want to build a full meal out of multiple small plates, the menu makes it easy to do both. The drinks are also very good, with a nice selection to accompany the food.

The space is well set, and during summer, they open all the windows, which gives the restaurant an open-air feel that’s perfect for warm days. However, the atmosphere leans more towards a quiet Parisian bistro than a lively Spanish tapas bar.

The service is… typically French. The staff are not particularly friendly or engaging. For non-French speakers, I’m not sure how smooth the interaction would be.

So, while the food is excellent, I’d personally still be on the lookout for other tapas places in Paris that offer a more vibrant, welcoming, and authentic Spanish-style experience. This isn’t that kind of place. But if you’re okay with a more subdued, Parisian-style setting and just want great tapas without the fuss, it’s definitely...

C’est la ou l’une de mes pires expériences en brunch… tout à d’abord, lorsqu’on rentre on est accueilli par la foule de client et il faut chercher pour avoir un staff On nous installe à une table sans couverts, sans vaisselle, sans serviette. En plus cest sans affiche, sans menu, sans annonce de prix. Une serveuse nous explique le fonctionnement du buffet. On a du se servir soit même pour avoir une fourchette, j’ai du demandé pour avoir un couteau et une serviette. Les places sont très étroites donc on a constamment du mal à passer entre les dossiers des chaises pour aller se servir. Il y avait beaucoup trop de monde dans ce petit espace, j’avais même pas envie de parler.

J’ai uniquement pris des photos au buffet salé mais comme vous pouvez le voir il n’y a que du pain partout et très peu de choix… Au coin sucré, il y avait : des croissants, dès yaourt à la pêche et nature, un marbré, un cake au citron (sans goût de citron), une tarte aux amandes, un cheesecake basque, et une verrine aux fruits exotique avec une couche de sucre fondu au dessus Au font du resto il y a la paella (on doit y aller nous même avec son assiette), ma copine avait pris une assiette donc j’ai vu la quantité qu’ils servaient donc lors de mon arrivée j’ai demandé à ce qu’il y ait moins de riz, et le monsieur m’a servi 3 énormes cuillères avec que du riz et un seul morceau de poulet. Je lui ai donc répété que je voulais moins de riz et des moules svp. Il m’a enlevé la moitié de riz mais en a rajouté encore avec 2 pauvres moules… honnêtement le riz était bien parfumé mais les moules ou le poulet était bien maigre et sans goût… en plus tout était froid donc en réalité c’était pas très bon au final. J’ai uniquement bien aimé le cheesecake pour le reste tout était sec et sans trop de goût Conclusion : si vous êtes un grand amateur de féculent genre pain, baguette, riz, gâteaux et viennoiserie, vous êtes au bon endroit mais sinon...
