It appears that the hotel was recently renovated. The rooms were very small. As I understand this is the norm for Paris France. We had two large suitcase and two small carry on and we could not spread everything out on the floor at the same time. Most of the staff was very friendly. The towels were fraid and they looked really old. They do not offer wash towels so if you want to use a face towel then you have to bring your own. Or do what we did and visited the a local store and few blocks away. Monoprix was the store name or something like that, to purchase wash cloths.
One major problem that we had was the room smelt muggy. We were there for two nights so we had to just deal with the weird slightly uncomfortable smell. Perhaps it was something wrong with the AC unit or something. The thermostat did have an error code. We stayed in room 47.
The other major problem is that they have a shelf that sits directly over the toilet approximately 4 1/2 metres above the toilet. Every night that I would go into the bathroom to use it, I would hit my head on the sharp corner of the square shelf, while trying to bend down in my groggy state, to lift the toilet seat. The last night that we were there I hit my head so hard on the corner of the shelf that I could not get back to sleep and I thought I was going to pass out. It did not break my skin but it did leave a small bump for a few days afterwards.
I really enjoyed the neighborhood because it felt like the majority of the people who were there actually lived there. There was an assortment of restaurants a half a block away and even a laundromat which I wanted to use but my lady kept me so busy seeing all the sights that I just did not have the time.
The subway is about an 8 minute walk and I do recommend using Google Maps to chart your course because if you're not used to using a slightly complex subway system it could be difficult navigating the city.
We did not try the all you can eat breakfast, the cost was 12 💶 per person.
Overall it was a...

It's definitely 3⭐️ hotel with no welcoming vibe for us.
Checked in late evening time to SUPERIOR room located next door to the elevator ( some noise is present of course) with the view of the courtyard( on the ground 2 large fans that make noise from time to time again .) I have asked to change the room at the reception but was told by reception gent - " no noise no noise , you sleep like a baby" . Well I did not! I just left it even knew it will not work for me . In the morning we went for breakfast, it is something to eat but don't expect to have full spread.
Staff are limited in the hotel, first morning was no waiters to pick up a plates or clean the tables or simply add some more food - the reception girl was doing it up on request . Next morning the waitress was there but again it was a feeling that we are not welcomed there as every move was watched. Next thing the waitress and the reception girl started to have full conversation like no one around 🤫.
The room is small and basic defo no perks ( no plugs or USB charger next to the bed) . If you are a "little big" person it will not work for you.
Location is pretty good 5mins walk from metro or bus 30 .
Anyway if you are not to picky overall will be OK for you - just didn't work for me.
I'll stick with the hotel chains at least you know...
Read moreWe were very happy with our 5 day stay and would highly recommend this hotel. Total disclosure - we did have a double superior room, but felt that room size was comfortable for two people. The bed was very comfortable, sheets were always clean, amenities plentiful, and bathroom very modern and clean. The front desk staff was helpful in guiding us around town and always willing to answer our questions. This place does ask you to leave the room key with them when leaving the property, which we didn't mind because it was one less thing to watch during the day. There is a respectable fitness area (three cardio machines but much lacking in free weights). We did not try the breakfast, but they offer a daily buffet for 12 euros. They also have an elevator which is quite small and travels to all floors. If using, I would recommend one person and bag per trip. The neighborhood itself is quiet and comfortable. Many businesses, restaurants, and cafes line the streets. Considerable foot traffic makes the area feel comfortable if you're out walking about. Good diversity of restaurants, too, if you're looking for variety in eating out. Wanting to leave the area? The Villiers metro stop is a short 5-10 minute walk. Overall a great, comfortable stay and we would definitely stay here again if...
