Unfortunately I’ve had a very bad experience here. The place was busy, which I believed to be a good sign. Waited about 20 min to order, and then about 30 min more to get my order (no problem at all). When I noticed that everyone who was behind me was served, and the two workers were no longer making any orders, I came up to the counter to find out they have forgotten mine. Since I was already very late, I asked to cancel my order and get a refund, and shockingly they said it cannot be done (they didn’t know how to refund a credit card, and the manager wasn’t available) after insisting on not waiting any longer for them to make my order (I really didn’t want to reward a business with such terrible and incompetent service. they didn’t even offer the smallest compensation, only a useless apology), I finally got a cash refund. Read moreI'm italian and living in Paris since 16 years, I look every here and there italian places where to have a proper italian not touristic meal. Orto is a very nice place not too far from Le Beaubourg (le Centre Pompidou), the food is fresh, you can have very nice panini alla mortadella, mozzarella with a little olive oil and even the vegan ones! Everything is delicious and the guys at the couner so welcoming and polite. They laugh and smile and serve you with warmth and allegria. I adore it and it makes me feel home. Sometimes they can drop under the panino some chocolate as a gift. The prices are absolutely affordable and fair. If you want to have a short, lovely,...
Read moreThe place is nice and sandwiches look exciting at the first glance. Unfortunately, taste wise, they are average or even below average. We tried their Firmino and Robusto sandwich and in both cases the meat/ham tasted off (as if it was old or not stored well, yet they still served it). Normally, we love combination of mortadella and pistachio but the addition of boiled potatoes is beyond strange. Between the two, we found Robusto to be better. From desserts, we went for the classic tiramisu that lacked almost everything from coffee, amaretto to smooth cream. Honestly, it’s an OK place, but we...
